Microsoft hat das erste „Update Rollup“ für Windows XP zum Download bereitgestellt. Das 9,3 MByte große Paket bündelt insgesamt 22 kritische Sicherheits-Updates, die seit dem Service Pack 1 und bis zum 14. Oktober veröffentlicht worden sind.
Nicht enthalten sind jedoch die am 15. Oktober im monatlichen Security Bulletin Summary gemeldeten Updates. Diese müssen separat über die jeweiligen Security Bulletins oder über Windows Update bezogen werden.
