Deepin 20 1003: Installation mit VirtualBox
Im nächsten Schritt wird das Format der virtuellen Festplatte definiert. Standardmäßig ist das Virtualbox-Format VDI voreingestellt.
Alternativ stehen auch VMDK (VMWare) und VHD (Microsoft) parat, falls man plant, die virtuelle Festplatte später in eines von diesen Herstellern verfügbares Virtualisierungssystem einzubinden. VHDX, das erstmals mit Windows Server 2012 als Nachfolger von VHD eingeführt wurde, wird von Virtualbox nicht unterstützt.
