Sony Pictures Streamlines Identity Management With eTrust SiteMinder and CA Identity Manager

Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) uses hundreds of different applications in its business, supporting content creation, distribution, editing through final copy and distribution. Role-based access control encryption of data, single sign-on with stringent authentication, authorization and auditing are the prerequisite in the implementation of effective and efficient platforms to protect the corporate assets. Additionally, SPE was facing the need to have stronger, centralized, security management and policy enforcement capabilities to meet corporate level policies as well as federal regulations such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. SPE carried out an extensive evaluation of Identity and Access Management (IAM) products to provide user authentication, administrative, and access control for enterprise web applications and resources. CA's eTrust SiteMinder and CA Identity Manager were a natural choice.
