  Die Windows 8 Version die im Sommer 2011 verteilt wurde läuft auch auf dem Compaq Evo N620c problemlos. Die Windows 8 Version die im November 2012 verschickt wurde (W8E-3ZR-00093) meldet jedoch NACHDEM sie die vorhergehende Betriebsystem-Installation zerstört hat:

  „Recovery
  Your PC needs to be repaired
  This operating system uses the Physical Address Extension feature to support systems with more than 4GB of RAM. You’ll need to use a PC with a compartible processor to run the operating system.

  Error code: 0xc0000260

  You’ll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don’t have any installation media (like a disk or USB device), contact your system administrator or PC manufacturer.“

  Interessanterweise bietet HP die Windows 98 Treiber an.
